September 23, 1816 in the village of Marymont it is assumed that the Institute Agronomiczny, its headquarters was then the Palace of Queen Marysenka, the first Director was Yuri Veniamin Flatt. The Institute was entrusted good government Marymont, Bielany and farm Ore, Wawrzyszew and Beets. Training was conducted at the elementary level (training of skilled workers) and the highest level (for future economists and managers). As part of the Institute, the State Institute of veterinary Medicine was established, and in 1840 it was transformed into the Institute of Agriculture and Forestry. Attempts to Russification of Polish schools brought the then Institute to the brink of liquidation, the school was moved first to Pulawy, and then to Russia. Polish returned to the capital in 1918 with independence, the University was nationalized in 1919 and renamed the main school of agriculture. Its first faculties were agricultural and forestry, from 1921 also horticulturists. Experimental plants were established in Rogove and Skierniewice. In 1956, by the decision of the Council of Ministers, SGGW received land in Ursynov and neighboring farms Volitsa, Natolin and vilanov, it was there that the development of the University was promoted – the faculties of agricultural machinery and human nutrition were created (1973). The landscaping of the campus is the work of Dr. ing. Przemyslaw Wolski[6]. Finally, it was decided to completely move the campus to Ursynov in 2001. Rektorat College is located in an old Palace belonging to Yu. u. Nemtsevich, which is called "little Rektorskim"because of its function. Faculties Currently, most of the buildings of the University located in Ursynow.
