Prof. dr hab., Philipp Smorąg elected a full member of the Polish Academy

Professor Zdislav Smorąg, corresponding member of the VAS since 2007, for 25 years (until 2016) head Of the Department of Biotechnology of Animal Reproduction (currently the Department of biotechnology of Reproduction and Cryopreservation) of the Institute of animal Husbandry – The state research Institute in balica is the Creator of a Group and a comprehensive program of research and development of technologies related to the nature of reproduction of farm animals in Poland, such as andrologiczna diagnostics and sex adjustment, IVF obtaining, cryopreservation and in vitro cultivation of gametes and embryos, cloning, embryonic and somatic, and transgeneza animals. The questions presented above have been continued by the candidate and his team also after his election as a corresponding member of the PAN in 2007 to the present time. The result of the research was the receipt by Professor Z. Smurug and his team of many impressive and significant results both from a scientific and applied point of view.

Prof. Z. Smorąg has received several important awards and awards, m.in. and the Imisw award for outstanding achievements in the field of Economics (2008), as well as certificates of honor and awards from pan and the Minister of agriculture and rural development.
