The IES "Velázquez", located in the historic center of the city of Seville, is one of the oldest educational institutions in this beautiful city. Throughout his extensive academic life, more than 45,000 students and more than 1,000 teachers have passed through his classrooms, as well as countless people associated with all kinds of activities related to education.
Many questions, criteria and situations have changed in the educational world and in society in general since its opening as a female Institute: educational policy, teaching plans, methodology, material means, information and communication technologies, etc. But at the Velázquez Institute we are proud that, whatever the circumstances, we have never changed our goal: to enter each morning with the clear objective of never ceasing to pursue the highest level of teaching and education possible.
